Screencast-O-Matic is a program that lets you record your screen and or webcam

How to do a recording using PowerPoint

  1. Open the PowerPoint you want to present
  2. Open Screencast-O-Matic
  3. Click the Record-button
    1. Choose whether to record the screen, webcam or both
    2. Choose what part of the screen you want to record, e.g. full screen
    3. Check the microphone
    4. When you are ready, start the presentation in PowerPoint and click Rec
    5. Present the PowerPoint as you normally would
      1. If you need a break in the presentation, click on the Pause-button in the lower left corner off your screen
      2. Click on Rec to continue with the recording
    6. When you are done presenting, click the Pause-button and click Done
    7. Choose whether to edit or save your recording. The recording should be saved as mp4
  4. Upload the recording to whatever media you prefer, e.g. Mediasite

It is also possible to record any other software on your screen, e.g. webpages or a program.
