Installation
To install the software, go to apps.usn.no (this works both for USN-administered computers and privately owned computers)
If apps.usn.no does not work, you can install the free version off Screencast-O-Matic at https://screencast-o-matic.com/download
How to do a recording using PowerPoint
- Open the PowerPoint you want to present
- Open Screencast-O-Matic
- Click the Record-button
- Choose whether to record the screen, webcam or both
- Choose what part of the screen you want to record, e.g. full screen
- Check the microphone
- When you are ready, start the presentation in PowerPoint and click Rec
- Present the PowerPoint as you normally would
- If you need a break in the presentation, click on the Pause-button in the lower left corner off your screen
- Click on Rec to continue with the recording
- When you are done presenting, click the Pause-button and click Done
- Choose whether to edit or save your recording. The recording should be saved as mp4
- Upload the recording to whatever media you prefer, e.g. Mediasite
It is also possible to record any other software on your screen, e.g. webpages or a program.
