How is cheating detected?
Cheating and attempted cheating can be detected by the invigilator in the examination room, by the examiner when assessing an exam/submission, or by the course teacher when a task is submitted.
In addition, we use the text recognition programme Inspera Originality to detect and prevent plagiarism. The programme checks the student’s assignment against texts on the internet, various text databases and other students’ assignments.
More information about Inspera Originality here.
Course teachers and examiners must also be particularly aware of the illegal use of artificial intelligence. Students should familiarise themselves with the guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in examinations and student work.
