Cross-cultural Nursing
Nurses in the future have to perform nursing in a way that covers cultural awareness, cultural knowledge, cultural sensitivity and cultural competence. This module intends to encourage to such approach.
In addition to the governmental imperative to include English taught courses in bachelor studies, it is obviously that nurses in the future should be able to communicate professionally with patients and colleagues in English.
The course can be combined with a clinical practice period.
This module will be taught in English and in addition to serve as obligatory module in the ordinary BA-nursing curriculum, this module may also be as a part of the professional education programs for incoming - and outgoing exchange students.
Community or medical placement, eight weeks.
Clinical Placement
Clinical placement is open to a very limited number of international exchange students studying at one of USN's bilateral partner institutions. Exchange students must have completed at least 60 ECTS or equivalent within the relevant study field, and be officially nominated by their home university, to enrol.
Please note: The number of clinical placements are extremely limited and placements cannot be guaranteed until the student has received an admission letter from USN that actually confirms the placement. This is especially important now, since the pandemic situation is making the process unpredictable.
