A complete overview of the errors to be corrected must be attached to the application (create application form) and submitted to the PhD advisor (by email) no later than the deadline (10 working days) for submitting written comments on the assessment committee's evaluation (section 4-9).
The list of errors must be approved by the faculty before the errors are corrected, and the thesis is printed. You can only apply for correction of formal errors once (1).
The following are considered formal errors that may be corrected:
- Typos and purely linguistic errors that make the text linguistically incorrect
- Missing punctuation, errors in references
- Page layout, text format, etc.
It is not permitted to:
- Clarifying or changing the meaning of the text
- Making changes to the content of tables
- Changing the version or status of manuscripts/articles included in the PhD thesis. For example, an article with the status ‘in press’ cannot be replaced with the journal's printed version and change the status to ‘published’ prior to printing.
- You cannot replace manuscripts with printed versions of articles via an erratum application, but you can change the preface in the thesis and thus refer to the final journal article.
