EDUC Teaching Academy and COIL.UP - University of Potsdam invite you to an inspiring training programme where you will receive a practical introduction to Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and Virtual Exchange (VE).
What is COIL/VE?
COIL and virtual exchange open your classroom to the world. Your students can collaborate with students from other universities in the EDUC alliance, or globally, through joint projects, academic dialogue, and exchange of experiences. This strengthens skills such as intercultural competence, digital understanding, and cooperation abilities.
Who is the course for?
- staff who are new to COIL/VE and want a basic introduction
- instructors who want to develop more international and innovative learning methods
- you who want to provide your students with competencies that are in demand in the labour market
Note: An advanced course will also be offered in autumn 2026 for those with experience in COIL/VE. Here you can read about last year’s advanced course: Advanced COIL/VE Training Program (educalliance.eu)
What will you get out of it?
Through the course, you will receive support to develop your own COIL/VE module in your teaching.
You will learn about:
- basic principles and benefits of COIL/VE
- how to plan and implement a successful collaboration
- digital tools and concrete examples from practice
- idea development together with colleagues and feedback along the way
- further support and resources within the EDUC network
