I work as an Associate Professor in Outdoor Studies. My main research and teaching interests revolve around outdoor recreation management, nature experiences, and public health. I hold a PhD focusing on eating disorders, outdoor recreation, and what nature is all about for people going through difficult times. I am particularly interested in exploring the qualities of everyday outdoor life and examining how outdoor recreation, especially along the coast, is managed. I serve as the Norwegian representative in a Nordic network for outdoor therapy and find it exciting to collaborate and explore this field with national and international colleagues. My work primarily involves qualitative methods, and I also have expertise in collaborative methods with various user groups and age groups within the population.
