Would you like to become more confident in French and prepare for an internship or job in France? This online EDUC course gives you the language and tools you need to get started.

How do you write a good job application in French? How do you present your skills in an interview? And what should you know about French working life?

In the course French for Professional Purposes (catalogue.educalliance.eu), you will learn how to find relevant internships and job opportunities, write a CV and cover letter, and present yourself in French. You will become familiar with important words and expressions from working life and gain insight into French work culture.

Registration deadline: 30 September

During the course you will learn to:

  • use tools to search for internships and jobs
  • write a clear CV and a targeted cover letter in French
  • talk about your skills, highlight your strengths and show motivation in an interview
  • understand and adapt to common ways of working and expectations in France.

Requirements

  • The course is for students (bachelor’s and master’s) and PhD candidates. 
  • You must have French language skills at least at B1 level to participate.

Practical information

  • Teaching: Online sessions once a week for ten weeks.
  • Period: 12 October to 14 December 2026.
  • Time: Mondays at 17.00–18.15.
  • Independent work: Allow approximately 45 minutes per week.

What and who is EDUC?

European Digital UniverCity (EDUC) is a European university alliance with eight members in seven countries. European university alliances are the EU's flagship for bringing the academic community in Europe closer together and solving major societal challenges.

In the alliance, we collaborate, among other things, on a common digital campus, digital study programs, flexible international opportunities for students and staff and skills development for young researchers and staff.

In addition to USN, EDUC consists of these universities:
