Device Monitor in school examinations

On some examinations, you must download and run the application “Device Monitor”. The application continuously takes screen captures throughout the entire examination session.

You will not have access to the examination paper or be able to submit unless Device Monitor is active. If you stop the monitoring during the examination, the examination officer will be notified. 

Tip! If you have a personal image as your desktop background, we recommend changing it to something neutral before the examination starts.

How do I download and install Device Monitor?

  1. To install Device Monitor, open the examination flow, and click “Prepare WISEflow Device monitor”
  2. Then click “Go to download page”, you will then come to the system page, select “download” under Device Monitor”. Wait until the download is complete, and then install the application.
  3. Click “Start Device monitor”.
  4. When you have clicked “Start Device Monitor”, a box may appear at the top of the page asking whether you want to leave the page; select “Leave”
  5. Click again on “Yes, start monitoring”.
  6. You can now see that Device Monitor is running. It continuously takes screen captures throughout the entire examination session. Monitoring is shown with a red border around your screen. 
  7. When the examination starts, you will get access to the examination paper and the ability to upload and submit your answer. 

NB! Device Monitor must be switched on throughout the entire examination session, and it closes automatically when you have submitted your examination answer.
