I am an associate professor at the Department of Pedagogy, with a MPhil in Anthorpology and Ph.D. in Education specializing in Interdisciplinary Child Research. I have done long-term ethnographic fieldwork in Zambia, with an overall focus on the everyday lives of children and their caregivers in a poor township in Lusaka. My main interest is local understandings of childhood, including children's health and development, as well as parents' and children's expressions of grief. My interest include research methods in anthropology and child research.

Responsibilities

  • Academic coordinator for the newly established international master's program in Pedagogy, with specialization in Early Childhood Education and Care (part of the Norpart Palestine project).
  • Course responisble and lecturer in the Master's courses "Fundamental Perspectives on Pedagogy",  "Special Corriculum for ECE" and "the Master's Thesis", as well as the course "The Bachelor's Thesis". 
  • Member of the coordination team for the international Norpart project, Palestine Early Childhood Education.
  • Collaborator in Regional Competence Development (ReKomp): Drammen and Holmestrand.
