Completion of a Research Project – Quality System for Health Research

Once a project has been completed, you/the project leader must ensure that final reports are submitted and that research data are stored long term in accordance with the data management plan.

Final reporting requirements

  • A final report to REK must be submitted no later than six months after the project’s approved end date.
  • If Sikt has approved the project, Sikt will contact you at the end of the project period. You will be contacted at the same email address that was used when you registered the project.
  • You must also submit notifications to delete to the relevant registers from which data have been obtained (e.g. the Norwegian Patient Register, the Municipal Patient and User Registers).

Please note that some funding bodies may also require submission of a final report.
