Key principles for the storage of research data
- You must store research data in accordance with what you stated in your applications to REK, in the notification form you submitted to Sikt, in any collaboration agreements, and in your data management plans (DMPs).
- You must report whether research data is to be processed or stored in any way other than what has been approved by REK or reported to Sikt.
- Health research data must be stored pseudonymised, that is, research data and identifying elements (the linkage key) must be stored separately.
- Research data must be stored in accordance with USN’s classification and storage guide.
- A signed collaboration agreement is required when external researchers, institutions, or companies are to be granted access to research data containing personal data or health data,
