Integration of therapeutic medications in Norwegian optometric practice – a panel discussion (in Norwegian)
Therapeutic medications represent a significant advancement in optometric practice. To ensure that optometrists and assistants are well-equipped to treat patients, increased competence is required. Furthermore, clinical practice must be adapted to effectively integrate these medications. This involves improvements in patient experience, optimization of service design, and a dynamic redistribution of tasks between ophthalmologists, optometrists, and assistants. By integrating therapeutic medications into optometric practice, we can collectively contribute to a more sustainable and forward-looking eye care service. Discussion between:
- Erik Robertstad (leads the panel discussion)
- Rasmus Gudmundsen
- Hege Høy Omdal
