We offer you good specialisation and elective options based on your own interests, and work placements and/or study abroad are included as part of the education. The programme also prepares you well for further studies at the master's level both in Norway and abroad.
The bachelor's degree in Business Administration at USN Business School is accredited by EFMD, the European accreditation body for business schools. Work placement/internship and contact with working life
We have close cooperation with the business community. Representatives from the workforce are invited as guest lecturers, and students are invited to company visits, breakfast meetings, seminars and conferences together with the business community in the region. Here you can meet future employers, build networks and find clients for tasks to be completed during your studies.
You also have the opportunity to get a mentor through the USN Business School's mentor programme.
In addition, you can choose to take an internship (work placement during your education).
Internship
An internship in a company or organisation is offered as an option during the 5th or 6th semester of the programme.
Mentor programme
The mentor programme is an opportunity for students in their 2nd and 3rd year. The mentor acts as a discussion partner, network builder, inspirer and adviser in the student's choice of career path or further studies. Mentors are recruited from private, public and voluntary sectors.

Specialisations Drammen
As a student in the bachelor's degree in Economics and Management, you have the opportunity to spend your third year of study (5th and/or 6th semester) at one of the other campuses of USN Business School. In the 6th semester of the programme, campus-specific specialisations are offered within the field of economics and management. In the 5th semester, you can choose courses from various subject areas with a recommended composition. It is also possible to spend the 5th semester abroad.
In the 6th semester, you can choose between the following specialisations at the Drammen campus:
- Finance: The specialisation in finance aims to provide an understanding of and knowledge about companies’ financing and investment decisions. Knowledge about financial markets and their risks, as well as valuation of companies and financial instruments, is central to the specialisation. Several banks and large companies will participate in the teaching and explain how financial theory is applied in practice.
- Marketing Management: Marketing is about adapting goods and services to the market’s needs as well as directing the flow of goods and services to the consumer. It is also about developing competitive and profitable products that create viable companies.
We have close collaboration with the Business Association and both private and public actors in the Drammen region. Our lecturers have experience from a wide range of businesses, and we invite guest lecturers from various organisations. We offer internships in the sixth semester in the business community of the region.
