We have close cooperation with the business community. Representatives from the workforce are invited as guest lecturers, and students are invited to company visits, breakfast meetings, seminars and conferences together with the business community in the region. Here you can meet future employers, build networks and find clients for tasks to be completed during your studies.
You also have the opportunity to get a mentor through the USN Business School's mentor programme.
In addition, you can choose to take an internship (work placement during your education).
Internship
An internship in a company or organisation is offered as an option during the 5th or 6th semester of the programme.
Mentor programme
The mentor programme is an opportunity for students in their 2nd and 3rd year. The mentor acts as a discussion partner, network builder, inspirer and adviser in the student's choice of career path or further studies. Mentors are recruited from private, public and voluntary sectors.

Accounting Clerk
An accounting clerk helps companies and individuals manage financial tasks such as bookkeeping, tax planning, and financial reporting. They provide advice on how to improve financial efficiency and comply with laws and regulations. Additionally, they can assist with budgeting and financial analysis to support decision-making. Accounting clerks play an important role in ensuring that financial data is accurate and up to date.
International Management and Marketing
This specialisation covers topics such as market analysis, market selection, entry strategies, and how to adapt marketing activities to different cultural contexts. You will also learn how to use digital tools and platforms to market products and services.
Business Development
In this specialisation, you will learn to identify and exploit new opportunities for growth and efficiency for companies and organisations. You will also learn about how intellectual property rights can protect a company’s ideas, inventions, designs, and brands through patents, trademarks, and copyright. This gives the company a competitive advantage by ensuring that others cannot copy or exploit their innovations without permission.
Finance and Financial Analysis
This specialisation teaches you valuation in practice based on recognised theories and methods. Practical cases are used in the course. You need to combine what you have learned from finance theory, strategy, and accounting analysis. You will gain good insights to assess company acquisitions, valuation of securities, and other assets in a business to achieve strategic goals. The specialisation is very practical-oriented and provides relevant knowledge that is sought after in the business community.
