Agne Johannessen obtained her BSc and MSc degrees in physics from Vilnius University (Faculty of Physics). In 2004 she received a PhD in Solid State Physics from the University of Glasgow. From 2005 to 2009 she worked in industry as a SAW device designer at Norspace AS. Since 2009 she has been employed as an Associate Professor at the Department of Microsystems (IMS), University of South‑Eastern Norway. Currently she is a member of the research group Micro- and Nanoelectromechanical Systems (MNEMS).

  • Biosensors and functionalized quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) platforms
  • Finite element modelling and multiphysics simulation
