Interested in why animals do as they do and how we as humans affect them. My fields of work include ecophysiology, life history, population dynamics, animal behaviour and conservation biology. Investigating how marine protected areas can benefit seabird populations through diet quality and how diet quality can help counteract multistress. Also working as a senior political advisor at the Norwegian Council for Biodiversity. I am highly committed to storytelling and info graphics, and have been teaching science communication to students and researchers since 2009. My academic interests also expand into literature, philosophy and ethics.

Kompetanse

I have a PhD in wildlife ecotoxicology, more specifically on the contaminants and life history of Antarctic seabirds. 

My work background includes political advisor for ocean conservation at Sabima, environmental monitoring at the Norwegian Environmental Agency, and porject leader and head lecturer of university course MNKOM (Science communication and journalism) at the University of Oslo.

At Sabima, I manage two citizen science projects (Oslofjordens blå skoger, Opplev fuglenes paradis) where we develop science driven school material, digital stories, videos and social media campaigns for protection of biodiversity.
