Associate professor in social science

Institutt for kultur, religion og samfunnsfag

My research interests are related to the interdisciplinary study of the intersections of culture, human rights and power relations. Drawing on a critical theoretical perspective, my work contributes to debates surrounding the impact of international agencies on local cultures, aiming to reflect upon the process of establishing the historical structures that led to the current concept of the universality of human rights, as well as the complex relations of power that were consolidated in those historical structures.
