They are assigned a student peer who helps them with their questions about student life, etc. International students may apply for a friendship family, which is a local family who can provide them with many cultural experiences.
How do you receive international students?
We provide pickup at PDX and help students check into their rooms. We provide a day-long orientation which includes shopping for any supplies they may need, engaging with domestic students activities, etc.
Accommodation and cost of living
Linfield guarantees housing on campus. This year, room, meals and fees and mandatory health insurance is $8644 per semester. We expect a 3% increase next year, but that is not yet confirmed. We recommend at least $1100 a semester for supplies, books, etc. Restaurant meals are usually $15-$20, depending on the restaurant. Some are less, others can be more. There is limited bus service around McMinnville during the week, that is inexpensive.

Our Student Services can help with special needs/disabilities. As for family travel, we can suggest hotels here in McMinnville, OR.
