Aye Thida is a PhD Research Fellow specializing in the intersection of pedagogy and child psychology. Her research examines play-based pedagogies during the critical transition from kindergarten to school, with a focus on their impact on children's learning, resilience, and life-mastery skills. She holds a master's degree in child psychology from the University of Chester and brings extensive clinical and teaching experience in attachment theory and the social-emotional development of children and young adults. Her work also incorporates insights from her background in supporting children’s well-being and development in practical, real-world contexts. Her current research is closely aligned with Norway's recent curriculum reform (LK20), which emphasizes the development of resilience skills and the integration of health and life skills in early childhood education. By using innovative methods such as video-shadowing and a critical realist framework, her work contributes to understanding how teachers and curricula foster resilience and holistic development in young learners.
